Description of Activities

• Regular Kabbalat Shabbat services led by a shaliach tzibur with shiur about the weekly parasha and Kiddush.
•  
• Monthly Kabbalat Shabbat communal Kiddush.
•  
• Tu Bishvat was celebrated as a cultural and social event. The planting of the trees was covered by the media with a good and wide reputation.
•  
• Purim was celebrated in the synagogue with the reading of Megillat Esther with explanations about the feast. A week later we celebrated with a big party where also members of Kehila Aviv of Valencia were present.
•  
• People from all over Spain and the islands came to Alicante to share the Traditional 1st Seder of Pesach with 60 adults and 10 children. The Seder was organized with Kosher LePessach products and food, Haggadah reading both in Spanish and Hebrew.

• Mimouna was celebrated with a conference about the Jews in Spain.
•  
• Rabbi Juan Mejia, from New York, came for a Shabbaton in the last weekend of April and led all Shabbat services, offering conferences about different issues. Yom Haatzmaut was planned during his stay and we had a special evening with many activities.

• Our website is now a fact and we believe that will help to bring more people to our Kehila: www.cjalicantecentro.org

• The Yeladeinu project has started with regular Saturday afternoon activities. Around 10 children participated in those activities led by a young madricha.

• A cycle of conferences about Jews around the world has started with the description of the Jewish community of Argentina by one of our members. Members of different countries will talk about Judaism in their homeland from before.
•  
• The first B'rit Mila took place. The Rabbi/Mohel from Madrid came especially to Alicante.
•  
• The Community organized social and cultural event like: the visits of museum, conferences and concerts.
•  
• The first meeting of the Masorti Spain took place in Alicante , projects are made, a logo and web are programmed as well as other activities.
