hile the results of the WZO elections around the world are not known yet, it’s time to look ahead and plan the 35th World Zionist Congress.  Everyone on the MERCAZ slate has the right to attend the June events—as a delegate, alternate delegate or observer, depending on the final status of each country's delegation. Please save these dates in your calendars:

Friday, June 16 - Getting to Know Masorti institutions in Jerusalem (site visits)

The Conservative Yeshiva 2006 Summer Program

The Conservative Yeshiva 2006 Summer Program provides an opportunity to study the classic texts of Judaism, including Talmud, Bible, Prayer, Jewish Law and Jewish Thought. Join Yeshiva Head Rabbis Richie Lewis and Joel Roth, along with Professor Pamela Barmash and other Yeshiva faculty, for an unforgettable learning experience.

The Conservative Yeshiva Summer Program includes an intensive morning Ulpan to build up Hebrew skills and afternoon classes in Talmud and Tanakh (Bible). The advanced track includes an intensive morning Talmud class and afternoon classes in Halakhah. For the first time, an introductory intensive text study track will be offered each morning.
Two three-week sessions will be held July 2-July 20 and July 23-August 10, 2006. Sessions will not be repetitive and students may attend either or both. Students of all ages and backgrounds are welcome.

Project Reconnect Trip to Israel in June 

Project Reconnect, the outreach alumni association of United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism, invites you to participate on "Kesher L'Yisrael", a memorable visit to Israel which will take place on June 12-19, 2006.

The trip includes unique insider tours, study with outstanding Masorti scholars from the U.S. and Israel, hands-on social action and tzedakah projects, meaningful Shabbat programs with soldiers and new immigrants, a chance to reconnect with old friends and alumni and much more!
