MAROM -
acronym for "Mercaz Ruchani u' Masorti"--the Center
for Spiritual and Masorti Judaism--is an organization open to
young adults ages 18-30. Its primary goal is to strengthen Jewish
identity and to develop young leadership for the Masorti Movement.
Marom programs are supported by MERCAZ Olami, Masorti Olami and
the Hagshama Department of the World Zionist Organization.
We have officially begun the time period known in Israel as “acharei ha’chagim (after the holidays)! People are back after the yom tovim with renewed energy and ready to begin the routine (finally!) of the new year. We look forward to 5766 as a year of learning, stimulating programs and growth in our kehillot around the world.
Our activities cannot take place without your support. Join us in establishing and sustaining the option of Conservative/Masorti Judaism around the world. Contact us for more information about Bar/Bat Mitzvah projects, synagogue twinning possibilities, donations in honor or memory of loved ones and friends, and projects in need of funding.
You can make a secure, online donation for Masorti Olami on the Network for Good site: http://www.networkforgood.org/?seg=8 (In the “search” section, type in World Council of Conservative Synagogues or Masorti Olami and it will bring you to the page where you can make an online donation.)
Please continue to write to us about your activities and send us pictures so we can post the news on our web site www.masortiworld.org and include them in future monthly reports. If you know of others who would like to be included on our mailing list, please let us know. Our e-mail address is mail@masortiolami.org
It’s not too late to wish you all again a Shana Tova—may it be a year of good health, growth, creativity and peace.
