Israeli Elections 2006

A word from the Editor
The election campaign in Israel is heating up and in just a few weeks we'll have a new government. The Masorti Movement in Israel continues to promote the recognition of religious pluralism in Israel. The same questions and issues--who is a Jew, who is a rabbi, Masorti conversions, non-Orthodox marriages—are still in the forefront today. Your involvement in MERCAZ is crucial for helping to support this agenda in Israel.

Please remember that the growth and development of Masorti Olami cannot take place without your personal help and commitment. Join us in establishing and sustaining the option of Conservative/Masorti Judaism around the world. Contact us for more information about Bar/Bat Mitzvah projects, synagogue twinning possibilities, donations in honor or memory of loved ones and friends, and projects in need of funding. Write to: worldcouncil@masortiworld.org or mail@masortiolami.org

Please continue to share your activities with us so we can post the news on our web site www.masortiworld.org and in our future monthly reports. If you know of others who would like to be included on our mailing list, please let us know.

Wishing you all a Chag Pesach Sameach v'kasher.

Kol tuv,
Judy Dvorak Gray
